MABADILIKO YANAWEZEKANA
Change is possible

Alcohol misuse is a big problem in Kenya, at least 10 percent of the population is addicted to alcoholic consumptions. Most people are addicted to traditional liquor, made by many illegal brewers in rural areas. The illegal brewing and the misuse of alcohol cause many problems for individuals, families and the society as a whole. It maintains a vicious circle of poverty. A Kenyan population free from alcohol and drug misuse, that is the aim of ADAPT. Various projects are carried out and contribute to achieve this vision. Because we believe that, even though the way is often long and difficult, change is possible! In our mission we follow the example of Jesus’ disciples:

“I don’t have any money for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”
Acts 3:6

A way to stand up, start again and be self-sustainable, that is what ADAPT aims to show the illegal brewers and alcoholics. Change does not start with financial support, but with a switch in the mindset of people.
